Hats of Wisdom offers a dynamic and hands-on internship program, lead by Josephine Barry LPC-S, designed for students, recent graduates, and aspiring professionals who are passionate about mental health, community service, and holistic wellness. Our interns gain real-world experience working alongside a dedicated team committed to uplifting and empowering individuals through culturally sensitive support and wellness education.
Interns have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of nonprofit operations, including program development, community outreach, case management support, event planning, and administrative tasks. We provide mentorship, training, and meaningful projects that align with each intern’s interests and career goals. Through this experience, interns not only build valuable skills but also deepen their understanding of mental health and holistic care within underserved communities. How to Become an Intern
Joining the Hats of Wisdom internship program is a meaningful step toward gaining hands-on experience while making a difference in the community. We welcome applications from students, recent graduates, and individuals seeking practical exposure in the fields of mental health, social services, holistic wellness, and nonprofit work.
To apply, prospective interns should submit the following:
- A completed internship application form (available on our LinkedIn or by request)
- A current resumé
- A brief cover letter outlining your interest in the internship, relevant experience, and what you hope to gain from the opportunity
- Any academic or program requirements from your educational institution
Internships are offered in waves and can be structured as part-time or full-time, depending on availability and program needs. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate academic calendars and personal commitments. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview before final placement decisions are made.
